Faye Whiston graduated cum laude from Williams College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Concentrations in International Studies and Latino Studies.
During her senior year at Williams, Ms. Whiston completed an honors thesis on the effects of urban policies on Puerto Ricans and the Catholic Church in Waterbury, Connecticut. Her activities as an undergraduate included studying in Mexico and El Salvador, fundraising for trips to the U.S.-Mexico border, and volunteering at a school in Nicaragua. Ms. Whiston's interest in law was sparked by her work at the Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project in Portland, Maine where she conducted intakes with Spanish-speakers and researched prospective asylum cases. Her other work experiences include internships at the Mexico Institute of the Woodrow Wilson Center in DC and at University Settlement NGO in New York City.
She plans to attend law school in the future.
