Jocelyn Huang graduated with departmental honors from Northwestern University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Creative Writing and a minor in Legal Studies.
During her time at Northwestern, Ms. Huang was an active member of Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., and served as Chapter President for two consecutive years. She also interned for the Felony Prosecutions division of the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, as well as for the Evanston Community Defender's Office (now known as the James B. Moran Center for Youth Advocacy). In 2007 she interned for the YWCA of Taiwan and served as a delegate to the World YWCA Council Meeting and International Women's Summit in Nairobi, Kenya. Her honors thesis was a work of historical fiction that explored the ways that race and identity interact, and was a blend of her interest in literature and her commitment to social justice.
She plans to attend law school in the future.
